Prayer is a skill leveled up by burying bones collected by NPCs (click on the Bone). When leveled up, players can toggle on and off certain prayer-related status effects in the Prayer menu that provide a variety of useful bonuses and buffs. These include “Protection Prayers” that reduce a large percentage of damage coming from a specific Combat Type (e.g. Melee, Magic, Ranged) that can heavily tilt combat in your favor.

Using prayers will actively drain your Prayer Points. You can refill Prayer Points by using a Pray Points Potion or speaking to Father Trent in any of the major cities.
